What we do

One of Symbiosis New Englandís exciting educational programs is Gateway, a flexible and customizable school visitation program. Gateway offers personalized experiences with performers, conductors, composers and other music professionals at minimal cost to a school or school district. These interactive workshops will address specific educational concerns as outlined by the school, geared towards the development of teachers, students or their program curricula. Because of the daunting costs of engaging music professionals, our aim is to make Gateway affordable to every school music program.

Discovery is a 3-hour interactive educational workshop/performance at a host institution which brings together music educators, students and composers with the musicians of Symbiosis. Discovery will involve reading new works composed by student composers, conducting opportunities for music directors, and opportunities for students to perform alongside the professional musicians of Symbiosis. Composers and conductors will work under the tutelage of Symbiosis associates.

Symbiosis will present professional concerts in the Boston area and throughout New England. Programs will comprise the finest traditional and contemporary music for wind ensemble. Stay tuned for announcements about our exciting first concert season.
